Ten years after the San Diego scene rose to prominence for two weeks and quickly returned from whence it had come, some old guys got together and decided to form a band to make rock music the way they remembered it to be. The result was Corrugated, a band based on edgy guitar and pounding rhythms. Drawing from influences like Big Black, Bastro, the Jesus Lizard, and Honor Role, the members bring different tastes to the mix. Lane Miller's Telecaster screams through his 50-watt Marshall, as it did when he was in Swivelneck. Mike Kennedy was in Drive Like Jehu, man. You know his trusty Fender P- bass cranks through his G-K. Tim Johnson still plays his first drum kit, a '74 Ludwig that refuses to die. It all adds up to a sound bigger than the sum of its parts. Almost as big as Tim's drum sticks, or Mike's SVT cabinet. Their first release, on Flapping Jet, is available for worldwide consumption. Don't miss out!
